Location

One of the most stunning locations in the world! The island is located 25 miles from the coast of Placencia, Belize, and a short 45 minutes helicopter ride from the International airport. Guests can add a tour of the famous Blue Hole en-route. Gladden lies directly on the edge of the widest and most picturesque section of the Belize Barrier Reef in the Caribbean Sea. The longest reef in the Northern Hemisphere and the 2nd largest reef in the world.

The magical Gladden Split, where the whale sharks congregate once a year is a mere few miles away.

Getting there:

By Helicopter.

Included in a 7+ night stay (starting from USD 1,800 one way for stays less than 7 nights). A Gladden representative will meet you at customs and take you directly to the helicopter where you will be whisked away over the Belize Barrier Reef and land directly on Gladden 35-40 minutes later. This is truly an amazing experience and will save you a few hours of travelling.

Your regional 30-minute flights from Belize City to Placencia are included. When you arrive in Placencia you will be escorted by a Gladden representative directly to Gladden by speed boat, which takes about 40-50 minutes.

The property

Once you are ensconced in our casually elegant 3,000-square-foot villa, you will never spot a neighbor. Totally secluded for those that prefer privacy. You will be greeted with stunning views from every room. Slip into the master suite, a soothing enclave of dark local hardwoods complemented by floor to ceiling glass windows overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The villa was built for one couple, but a second master bedroom can comfortably accommodate another two people should you wish to share. Stand in the entranceway and let your eyes wander across the swimming pool to the coral reef beyond. Climb to the roof terrace to soak up the sun and bask in the stunning panorama of aquamarine lagoons as far as the eye can see.

The staff and meals

Guests have a personal Chef; the food is a fusion of Belizean and Mediterranean cuisine. All guests are sent a preference sheet prior to their trip. The Chef will send them a sample menu, which can be adapted to suit the guests’ culinary needs. Meals are served in the main dining area overlooking the beach with incredible coral reef views, on the roof terrace, or by the pool. The staff will also set up lunches at different beach spots around the island. There is an on-site manager and concierge to cater to every guest needs. Guests are asked for a ‘privacy rating’ ranked on a scale of 1-5. Full resort service or maximum privacy.
